Can automated cars and humans safely co-exist?: A project aiming to accelerate the safe and successful deployment of automated vehicles by having them understand human intent is among 22 QUT-led projects to receive Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project Grants.

$15 million palliative care project for aged care services: Palliative care in aged care services has received a boost with $15 million Federal funding for the End-of-Life Directions for Aged Care (ELDAC) project led by QUT in partnership with Flinders University and University of Technology Sydney.

Family violence and perpetrators’ personality: QUT researcher and psychologist Dave Misso is conducting a study into the metacognitive capacity of men who have issues with violence in their intimate relationships.

Politically charged portraits win national emerging art prize: A selection of works by some of Australia's best emerging contemporary artists has opened to the public this week at QUT Art Museum in a showcase exhibition for 'the churchie' national emerging art prize.

The Head of QUT’s School of Economics and Finance, Professor Pascalis Raimondos, was on ABC TV News Breakfast talking about the fallout from the Paradise Papers and the line between tax avoidance and tax evasion.  Associate Professor Gary Mortimer from the School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations talked to ABC TV about Australian products being sold to the Chinese middle class and to Smart Company and other media about retail Singles Day.
