Our strategy

Health and wellbeing is one of the high-level priorities outlined in the university's strategic plan Connections. The QUT Health and Wellbeing Strategy encompasses both students and staff, and the full spectrum of integrated health and wellbeing elements to effectively:

  • manage illness
  • prevent harm
  • promote thriving.

We adopt a university-wide approach, offering a broad range of health and wellbeing initiatives for both students and staff, and create conditions for wellbeing in our places, policies and processes for a thriving campus community.

A message from our health and wellbeing advocates

'Health and wellbeing reside in the words we speak, the decisions we make, the way we lead. It's in the shape of our physical and digital spaces, the experiences we have in our working and learning environments, and the quality of our support services.

The health and wellbeing of students and staff is a key strategic priority for us. The QUT Health and Wellbeing Strategy outlines a university-wide approach that encourages collective action for a thriving community. Together we are building a healthy, vibrant, and inclusive university community in which to work, learn and thrive.'
