You will develop visualisation skills and techniques within the design process through understanding the drawing conventions associated with the representation of materials, as well as the ability to select the right visualisation technique for each phase of the design process. Visualisation and representation are crucial aspects of design thinking, with a particular emphasis on understanding the physical quality of building materials. This unit is paired with DYB112 which introduces representation techniques in the design process. In this unit you will learn to use two- and three-dimensional software applications and physical model making to present your ideas, which demonstrates an appreciation of the fundamental aspects of building materials.","title-full":"DYB113 Create and Represent: Materials","title-short":"Create and Represent: Materials","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=DYB113&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=DYB113","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=DYB113"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
