University is really much more of a community, so on campus we have gyms, cafes, medical services, even a lolly shop. I’m really making myself contribute to it and be a part of it.
If you accept your offer for a QUT course, you’ll be directed automatically from the QTAC website to the QUT website where you’ll be able to access your student account and go on to enrol in your subjects.
One of the biggest challenges for me in coming to university was understanding the different types of assessment, because they were kind of different to school. I had to learn very quickly that I needed to ask for help because the tutors and lecturers weren’t going to come to me, which is something that I wasn’t used to.
Order your course preferences carefully so you still get an offer into something else you are interested in, or a course you can use as an upgrading pathway.
A typical week for me consists of studying, working, socialising, and catching up on little things that are in my life.
There are a few different things you might like to consider when you are choosing a course as an upgrading pathway to include in your QTAC application.
Say yes and get involved. University has so many amazing opportunities awaiting you, but they won’t happen unless you stand up and say yes.
We offer a broad range of online tools designed to help prospective undergraduate students become familiar with what's on offer at QUT.
