Deanna Hood
Deanna is one of the core engineers who worked on the robotics software ROS 2, which will be used on NASA’s VIPER mission to the moon. Deanna has used the same software to pioneer the CoWriter robotic partner, which helps children with handwriting difficulties.

Dr Tatheer Zahra
Have you ever thought about how a building could be made more resilient in natural disasters? QUT senior lecturer and researcher Dr Tatheer Zahra is pioneering new solutions to protect buildings from earthquakes, storms, explosions and collisions with energy-absorbing shock protection materials. Her vision is to promote innovative and sustainable engineering materials at every stage of construction.
