Our Graduate Certificate in Business (Managing and Leading in the Public Sector) is designed as an extension of our Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) short course modules, to provide you with a postgraduate level qualification in managing and leading in the public sector.
In the ELP short course you undertake four modules and at the conclusion of each, you have the opportunity to undertake the optional award extension unit for that module. This additional unit of study involves attendance at a workshop and two assessments for each module. The successful completion of these four optional award extension units provides you with a Graduate Certificate in Business (Managing and Leading in the Public Sector).
This Graduate Certificate in Business is designed especially for leaders and aspiring leaders in the public sector who are looking to develop their skills further and gain a postgraduate qualification in managing and leading.
The content of this program will develop your leadership skills and support your career development within complex public policy environments.
You will establish strong professional networks and communities of practice which extend beyond your current agency.
Learn flexibly in different environments, including online learning, face-to-face facilitated workshops and a group workplace project.
Through our partnership with the public service, we keep up with current and emerging requirements and topics of interest, enabling us to tailor our content and learning design to meet current industry standards.
You will develop knowledge and leadership skills across a number of core learning areas that are tailored specifically to the emerging needs of the public service, and undertake a work-based project that delivers real outcomes for your organisation.
For information on the core and elective units offered in this program, please see the course units.
