Optimal conservation management in uncertain Antarctic environments
Species and ecosystems in Antarctica are threatened. Optimal biodiversity conservation is an interdisciplinary field combining mathematical modelling and optimisation with ecology and conservation. New antimicrobial compounds with biofouling properties
Bacteria can readily adhere to the surface of synthetic materials and form a biofilm which is much more difficult to combat than circulating bacteria due to their extreme resistance to antibiotics.
