Brisbane climate change action event @ Gardens Point

Set to take place simultaneously in more than 80 cities around the world, Climathon will bring together students, academics and concerned members of Brisbane’s community.

Participants will spend a day working in teams, guided by expert facilitators to find solutions for Brisbane’s local challenge “How Brisbane become more resilient to flooding, drought, heat waves and other climate shocks?”

Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel and prizes awarded for the most outstanding ideas.

The Brisbane Climathon is a collaboration of QUT’s Institute for Future Environments, Griffith University's National Climate Change Adaption Research Facility and Green Cross Australia. It is proudly supported by Suncorp.
