What you'll receive
You'll receive a scholarship of $3,750 for one year, paid in instalments each semester.
Eligibility
You must be:
- enrolled in a creative industries undergraduate course (including double degrees)
- have completed a minimum of 96 credit points at the time of being awarded the scholarship
- an Indigenous Australian or identify as LGBTQI+.
How to apply
Complete the application form and submit this together with the following documentation:
- your current resume
- a 500-word personal statement clearly outlining how the scholarship will enable you to have an impact on self-development or in community. For example:
- How have you demonstrated your academic potential and how will this scholarship support your academic goals?
- Describe your personal attributes e.g. community involvement, career aspiration, interests and what drives you.
- What specific personal circumstances and equity needs would you like the panel to consider that may impact on achieving success within your chosen course? How will the scholarship assist in overcoming these?
- for Indigenous applicants, provide proof of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage status with a Confirmation of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Descent form stamped with a common seal belonging to a registered organisation.

What happens next?
Your application will be reviewed and assessed by a selection panel on the basis of all information submitted in your application and having regard to the selection criteria. The panel may elect to interview short-listed applicants to assist with their decision making process.
Once the selection process is complete, you will be notified in writing of the outcome of your scholarship application.

About the scholarship
The Nathan Mayfield Creative Industries Scholarship is generously provided to Indigenous Australian and LGBTQI+ students to assist in completing university studies in a supportive and inclusive environment.
