You will also receive a QUT/CSC Top- Up Scholarship which provides an annual stipend of approximately A$7,000 for QUT/CSC PhD scholarship recipient for up to 3 years. (This amount may vary each year as it is topping up your CSC stipend that you receive from CSC, to the Australian Postgraduate Award rate)
You should consider our research areas to ensure your project aligns with our research goals. Research support staff in your faculty can work with you to develop your research topic and make sure it has the right scope for the research degree.
Find a supervisor who researches in the field you're interested in, and contact them to see if they're available to work with you.
You will need to submit a research proposal, including a clear statement of no more than 500 words, covering:
Refer to the China Scholarship Council website (in Mandarin) for any additional documentation requirements.
Apply for your research degree. When you complete the application form, you can indicate that you want to be considered for a China Scholarship Council scholarship.
Applications close in mid-January each year.
You will receive an offer letter if your application is approved. You then need to submit a separate application to the China Scholarship Council (in Mandarin).
China Scholarship Council will notify you of the outcome of your scholarship application. You must send a copy of this notification to QUT International Admissions.
QUT and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) are jointly awarding postgraduate scholarships to Chinese students who intend to undertake a postgraduate research degree at QUT.
