Digital transformation and digitalisation are on top of the CIOs' agenda. However, organisations embarking into these initiatives struggle to understand the nature of leadership capabilities required for effective DT. Furthermore, the complexities associated with pandemics such as Covid19 has forced organisations to change the traditional view of leadership. The uncertainties require well-rounded leaders who can create vision and execute tactically to influence change, develop digital capabilities and foster enterprise agility.

Scalable and resilient microservices

Microservices are the backbone of modern-day IT systems. For example, NetFlix uses hundreds to thousands of microservices to provide services to millions of customers. These services experience varying work loads depending on the consumers' demands. As the load increases, the computing infrastructure must scale up to reliably deliver the services to end consumers.This project will investigate the scalability and resiliency of microservices.

Scalable and privacy-preserving publish-subscribe for data sharing

The publish-subscribe communication protocol is widely used in real-world data-driven applications. Data producers and consumers share their data using the publish-subscribe communication protocol, which relies on a centralized data sharing server. As the data load increases, the publish-subscribe broker fails to meet the real-time demands of the applications.This project will investigate and develop a scalable and privacy-preserving publish-subscribe protocol.
