Physics Observatory @ The Cube

One of The Cube's first screen projects, Physics Playroom, has been redeveloped to have stronger alignment with the STEM national curriculum. The new iteration, Physics Observatory, features a rotating mechanical solar system and a gravity board. Visitors can adjust the gravity changer from Zero G to the same gravity as the Sun. All of the objects in the observatory are affected by the gravity change, the blocks, the swinging pendulum and even the water flowing from the lion's mouth.

The project works in a game-like environment where people of all ages can participate in learning about physics. Tapping into our desire to construct and to deconstruct, it's a space where people can come together to build and destroy each other's creations in fun and engaging physics simulations.

This massive, free interactive display will be open from 10am to 4pm each day of the school holidays and will continue into early 2017.
