Kate Joyner is a senior lecturer in the QUT Graduate School of Business and an experienced executive educator, management consultant and facilitator. The focus of Kate's career has been developing leaders and leadership groups for the challenges of the 21st century. Kate has particular expertise and research interest in complex organisations, as well as smart collaboration between government, business and the non-profit sector.
"In Systems Thinking for Leaders, we start with contemporary and live cases that everyone knows of, think Royal Commissions and business ethical breaches. We step through them, demonstrating what can be seen and understood if we apply the mindset and toolkit of the systems thinker. Frank Mathmann is an Associate Professor at QUT and a visiting scholar at the Higgins Lab of Columbia University. His research focuses on consumer motivation on digital platforms and he also provides evidence-based consulting to the industry. Previous projects included Mercedes Benz in Germany, major Australian retailers and energy companies.
"In addition to my research, I have experience consulting, collaborating with and providing brand-relevant research services to major brands such as Mercedes Benz, Big W and Facebook. In Data-Driven Brand Strategy, I will draw from my research and real-world experience to teach students about brand management strategy as well as methods for consumer data collection and analysis that are directly accessible and relevant to their workplace."
