Achievements and Excellence in Research for Australia results

We are producing world-class research across a range of disciplines according to the latest Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) assessment, announced in late 2015. ERA evaluates the quality of research undertaken in Australian universities against national and international benchmarks.

We achieved a ranking of world standard or above (scores of 3-5) in 100% of research assessed at the 4-digit discipline-specific level.

This builds on our already impressive performance in the 2010 and 2012 ERA rounds, with a significant increase in research fields rated above or well above world standard.

We are ranked ninth nationally in 2016 for research block grant government funding based on research performance.
