Steve McCann, CEO of leading international property and infrastructure group Lendlease will address the next QUT Business Leaders’ Forum on Friday, June 17.
He will speak about his role as leader of one of Australia’s truly iconic companies and outline its “focus and grow” strategy to deliver optimal performance safely with disciplined growth in gateway cities.
Mr McCann was appointed group CEO and managing director of the development, construction and investment management firm in December 2008 and joined the board in March 2009.
He has more than 15 years’ experience in funds management and capital markets transactions.
Before joining Lendlease in 2005, Mr McCann spent six years at ABN AMRO where his roles included head of property, head of industrial mergers and acquisitions and, for the last three years, head of equity capital markets for Australia and New Zealand.
Lendlease has operations in Australia, Asia, Europe and the Americas and is currently delivering the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Gateway Upgrade North, Brisbane Showgrounds rejuvenation and Kingsford Smith Drive upgrade.
The company also owns and operates 15 retirement villages in Queensland, shopping centres in Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Mackay and is developing award-winning master-planned communities like Springfield Lakes and Yarrabilba.
