Bright Ideas: Smart Lighting for Smart Cities forum @ Gardens Point

LED streetlights are evolving over the world as a technology that can provide local councils with energy efficient and cost effective outdoor lighting solutions, and have already been installed throughout the world in countries including the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. Compared to conventional street lighting, LED products save an average of 60% in energy costs while producing the same amount of light and offer the potential for significant reductions in ongoing maintenance costs.

This free forum for government and industry is presented by the Guided Innovation Alliance (GIA), an industry–research alliance shortening the pathway to market for new innovations in the electricity sector. The Guided Innovation Alliance comprises QUT, Ergon Energy and SmartGrid Partners.
