Real World News is produced by QUT Journalism students enrolled in the unit CJB203 Newsroom. In this unit students learn and practice the skills to create and execute quality news material for diverse audiences. They focus on planning the report, conducting the interview, writing news stories and presenting and editing multi-media materials.
Professor Rowena Barrett, Pro Vice-Chancellor Entrepreneurship, worked with Daniela Pizzirani on the interview prep and sat down with Teagan Laszlo a 3rd year QUT Journalism student, who conducted the expert interview. The aim was for a legacy TV look, and Teagan asked Rowena a number of questions about entrepreneurship generally and why QUT prioritises entrepreneurial action. The result is here.
In 2022, QUT Entrepreneurship is looking forward to working further with Michael Scully, QUT Lecturer and the students in this unit to interview Brisbane based entrepreneurs.
