Biography
SUMMARYDr Shi is an ARC DECRA Fellow/Lecturer in the Faculty of Science, School of Chemistry and Physics. His research focuses on thermoelectrics; surface/interface science; and advanced micro/nanostructure characterization techniques.
Dr Shi has published 184 publications including 1 book chapter with 90 as the first (including co-first) or corresponding author. First- and corresponding-authored papers include 1 in Nat. Sustain., 2 in Nat. Commun., 1 in Chem. Rev., 3 in Prog. Mater. Sci., 1 in Mat. Sci. Eng. R, 1 in Joule, 1 in Adv. Mater., 2 in Energy Environ. Sci., 7 in Adv. Funct. Mater., 8 in Adv. Dr Shi has won ARC DECRA Fellowship, 1 ARC Discovery Project as the lead CI, 3 ARC Linkage Projects as CI, 1 ARC Research Hub as CI, and 1 QUT Early Career Researcher Ideas Scheme 2023 as the sole CI, with a total funding of ~AUD 10 million. He is the top 2% scientists in the world from 2021 to 2023, accredited by Elsevier BV.
Dr Shi has supervised 12 Ph.D students, 9 Master students, and 2 Visiting Fellows. He has given 14 oral presentations at international conferences, 4 invited talks, and obtained 4 patents. He also serves as a regular reviewer for many international journals such as Mater. Today, J. Mater. Sci. Technol., Carbon, and Appl. Surf. Sci., as well as a regular assessor for ARC projects.
