Teaching philosophy:
I believe in keeping my classroom a caring, equitable and professional environment, where up-to-date academic thinking is placed within current, real world practitioner contexts via a range of interactive technologies and methods. Students are encouraged to become critical, reflective thinkers within my classroom; enabling them to identify the limitations of theories and concepts when applied to the real world. I believe that genuinely caring about student learning outcomes is a critical factor for encouraging students to perform, and I encourage students to challenge delivered content to improve their understanding of core concepts.   Teaching interests:

  • Management
  • Public Sector Management
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Negotiation

  • Nominated for Vice Chancellor's Excellence Award for innovative work on the First Year Blended Learning Project at QUT Business School (2013)
  • Invited by the QUT Business School's Assistant Dean (Learning & Teaching) to develop a forthcoming capstone unit for the Bachelor of Business course that incorporates blended learning, self-directed learning, and work-integrated learning (2017)
