BiographyDr Louise Grayson is a former newspaper journalist with extensive experience undertaking international photojournalism and documentary photographic projects. This practice informs her research in the area of visual journalism. Louise began her research in the area of photojournalism when, aged 19, she traveled solo through the then Baltic States, Russia, Siberia and China. On this sojourn from her university studies in journalism and international politics, Grayson discovered a fascination for the photographic medium. Today, she has traveled to more than 20 countries across the globe in response to her ongoing passion for exploring international issues and documentary photography.
Concurrent to this research, Louise has worked as a journalist and corporate communications executive . She is currently a lecturer in Journalism in the Creative Industries Faculty.
She has been awarded a PhD, a Bachelors degree in journalism and international politics and a Masters in photojournalism.
