Biography
Kate is a Teaching Fellow in the QUT Graduate School of Business and an experienced executive educator, management consultant and facilitator. The focus of Kate's career has been developing leaders and leadership groups for the challenges of the 21st century. This theme has unified Kate's research in cooperative strategy (leadership in alliances and networks), teaching in systems thinking and leading in complexity, consulting work helping leaders and organisations within complex institutional arrangements and her professional role in developing leaders and emerging leaders to think purposefully about approaching complex policy and strategy issues.Kate completed her PhD in Business Strategy in 2011, and is the winner of several academic awards for her work in partnering and joint ventures. Kate has particular expertise and research interest in complex organisations, as well as smart collaboration between government, business and the non-profit sector. She writes and speaks about cooperative ideas, models and practice for an abundant and equitable future, including a focus on developing the future workforce.
She is currently host of the QUTeX Podcast QUT ExecInsights.
