Ms Judy Stokker

Biography
Ms Judy Stokker is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology, Information and Library Services) at QUT. The position heads a division which includes: Information Technology Services, HiQ (QUT’s Student Enquiries Service), Learning Environments and Technology Services (LETS), Library services, QUT Printing Services as well as the Project Portfolio Office (PPO) which oversees the university’s IT projects and leadership of IT governance. The TILS Division currently comprises approximately 540 staff and oversees an annual expenditure in excess of $60 million.Judy’s external duties include Board Member, Aurora Foundation; and Chair, Australasian Open Access Strategy Group.
Previously, Judy was the Director of Library Services at QUT. A role as Deputy President of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) as well as a member of the CAUL Institutional Repository Support Service, Advisory Committee, a national group form part of Judy’s comprehensive experience. Judy was also a faculty member (trainer) of the Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT) Leadership Institute.
Judy has extensive experience in leading transformation change with the most recent achievement the implementation of HiQ, QUT’s new centralised student service. HiQ enhances the student experience though an innovative combination of state-of-the-art technology and peer-to-peer support and focuses on mobile first, smart search capability and interactive displays. More complex student needs are met through chat, phone and face-to-face. HiQ won the Enterprise Service Management Implementation of the Year Award at the ITSMF 2017 Industry Awards.
Judy’s professional interests include: Leading transformational change, Leadership development, IT governance, and open access.
