This person does not currently hold a position at QUT.
Annalena Wolff obtained her Diploma in Physics from Bielefeld University (Germany) in 2010. She then worked as a Research Fellow at Bielefeld University and received her Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2014 under the supervision of Professor Andreas Huetten before moving to Australia where she worked at the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy as an electron microscopist. She was recruited to the Queensland University of Technology in 2015 and has established herself as a FIB/SEM and Helium Ion Microscopy (HIM) expert. Annalena was one of the FIB/HIM/SRIM workshop leaders for AMAS2017 and has recently returned from a HIM World Tour where she build expertise and networks in 4 continents over 11 weeks. Annalena Wolff’s research interests include: developing new approaches on SEM/FIB and HIM applications, ion-solid interactions and their simulations, improving FIB/SEM and HIM techniques for biological samples, fabrication of 2D and 3D micro/nanostructures, 3D reconstruction, sample characterization and analysis (including HRTEM).
