Real-world learning
'I chose the Diploma in Business as a bridging course to the Bachelor of Business. It provides a guided transition into university life with smaller class sizes and supportive teaching staff.
The Diploma in Business is equipping me with the skills to succeed in the future by working on real-world clients and case studies.'
Skills for your future
'The Diploma in Business is giving me the experience and skills to decide where I want to take my future study.
The teaching staff are very helpful and always willing to share their real-world experiences to help with our in-class client projects.'
Supportive study environment
'We all have fear of the unknown and QUT College breaks down the fear of going straight into a large university. Smaller more interactive classes ensures you don’t feel isolated. It was easier to make friends at the College and with the support mechanisms in place, it gave assurance you are not alone in the system. I feel I am on solid ground now thanks to QUT College’s established framework for learning.'
Building connections
'I joined the Mentor Program at QUT College to build confidence in myself and in others. It helped me get ‘connected’ and create a network. Social interaction is very important but difficult to do when you are a stranger in a new country. The Mentor Program helped me improve myself, led to activities in leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution. These activities gave me an appreciation of how others think and behave is various situations.'
Smaller class sizes
'The smaller classes at QUT College allow for greater class participation and make it easy to build relationships with my peers. Lectures and tutors are also fantastic, they always give us their time and are attentive to our learning needs.'
