Using a phenomenographic approach, doctoral research (2000-2004) has revealed that university students have varying ways of experiencing web-based information searching.

Operations research

Research group concerned with operations as the focus of their activities.

Photonics and Mechanics of Biomedical Materials

We combine advanced experimental and computational techniques to provide a novel view into the structure-property-function relationships in a range of biomedical materials, from spider silks and nanostructured surfaces to human tissues.

Planetary Surface Exploration

Planetary Surface Exploration at QUT - Astrobiology, Robotics, Geochemistry

Process Science

Process Science research combines information systems, computer science, and business perspectives to improve an organisation’s business operations and inter-organisational value chains.

QUT Astrophysics

The QUT Astrophysics Research Group is made up of dedicated scientists with a keen interest in understanding how the universe came to be and the nature of the physical processes that underpin it. Our scientists are currently undertaking research in galaxy formation and evolution, star-formation and accreting supermassive black holes, the interaction of galaxies with their environment, multi-wavelength photometry, infrared spectroscopy, and spectral energy distribution modelling.
