Explore this course
This course builds business capabilities that prepare you to confidently navigate the future of work and contribute with confidence in AI-enabled, data-informed and technology-driven organisations.
Drawing on current industry practices, you’ll engage with the approaches and technologies used by leading organisations to identify and solve business problems, generate evidence, interpret information and support strategic decision-making. You’ll learn how business professionals create value by connecting data, people, systems and strategy.
Through the application of key theories, business research tools and generative, agentic and multimodal AI, you’ll develop the capability to collect, evaluate and interpret diverse data from consumers, competitors, financial performance, operations, internal processes and global trends. You’ll learn how to turn these insights into action, driving innovation, workflow redesign and continuous improvement.
You will explore how AI can be embedded into business models, operating systems and management practices. As routine entry-level tasks become increasingly automated, graduates will need to build higher-value capabilities earlier, including judgement, coordination, data interpretation, AI fluency and organisational problem-solving.
As you progress through the program, you’ll deepen your expertise by selecting a set of electives. Designed to broaden your business acumen, these units will strengthen your analytical, strategic, and decision-making capabilities across a range of contemporary business contexts.
Careers and outcomes
As a graduate, you’ll emerge with future-focussed business capabilities and interdisciplinary insights that will enable you to contribute effectively across diverse organisational settings. This graduate certificate is designed for professionals across industries who want to build practical capability in business, AI, data interpretation, innovation and decision-making.
You will be prepared to contribute meaningfully to organisations navigating digital transformation, automation, economic uncertainty and changing workforce needs. The course is especially relevant for those seeking to operate their own businesses or move into higher-value roles that require judgement, analytical thinking, AI fluency, stakeholder engagement and business problem-solving.
If you are looking to extend your studies, you will be eligible to progress to BS12 Master of Business or BS13 Master of Professional Accounting.
