What is the purpose of this research?

The purpose of the research is to develop cross-cultural theories of money management and to inform evidence-based interventions to improve financial experiences of CALD communities in Australia.

Are you looking for people like me?

We are looking for young individuals (18 - 24 years of age) from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. While we welcome all CALD communities to participate in our research, we would love to hear from individuals with Chinese, Middle Eastern and South African background.

What will you ask me to do?

We will ask you to participate in a max. of 40 minutes interview with one of our researchers, who will ask you questions about your financial experiences in Australia.

Are there any risks for me in taking part?

There are no risks beyond normal day-to-day living associated with your participation in this research project. You can choose not to answer questions that you do not wish to. You are free to withdraw at any time prior to the completion of the interview.

Are there any benefits for me in taking part?

By understanding financial experiences of young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds in Australia, we can design customized learning interventions.
