- LP0882432: APDI , 2008-2010"Fleet safety in the nonprofit sector"Work related vehicle crashes account for 25% of workplace fatalities and 13% of the national road toll. Nonprofit welfare service providers appear to have a higher crash incidence than other car fleets. This project intends to develop a multi-dimensional approach to improving fleet safety in a diverse nonprofit organisation. In particular, this research will expand and challenge current best practice in fleet safety by implementing a multilevel intervention program designed to improve driver behaviour and decrease crash outcomes. Furthermore, this research will enable nonprofit organisations to reduce workplace death and injury resulting in lower insurance, welfare service cost provision, and increased volunteer confidence.
