Engaging teaching and great study-life balance
'One of my lecturers for advanced dynamics was easily one of the most entertaining and effective teachers I’ve ever had. The subject itself was challenging, but his ability to explain complex concepts in a fun, engaging, and witty way made all the difference. I also appreciated that the workload at QUT felt more manageable, which made it easier to balance study with exploring and making the most of my time abroad.'
Great opportunity to expand my social circle
'Welcome Week and the exchange student orientation events were great opportunities to start connecting with others. From there, I gradually built connections in my classes especially through group projects and in sports clubs. I joined the QUT Surf Club and really enjoyed the trips they organised. It was a great opportunity to expand my social circle, experience the Australian surf culture, and explore different parts of the country.'
Friendliness of QUT students made a big difference
'The welcome events were incredibly helpful in helping me settle in, and the friendliness of QUT students made a big difference. They were all very welcoming and supportive. Social football on Thursdays has been another fantastic way to meet new people - it's a fun break from studying and a wonderful way to relax with friends. I've also attended a few law society events, which have provided valuable opportunities to network with others in the legal field.'
