Biography
I am a lecturer (in HR, employee/industrial relations) for the School of Management within the Faculty of Business and Law at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). I am also a researcher with QUT's Centre for Decent Work and Industry and the Australian Centre for Health Law Research. I have a professional background in safety and compliance across construction, mining, defence R&D, and manufacturing spanning 15+ years, bringing practical industry insight to my academic work.My current research focuses on improving workplace health and safety outcomes, this includes: managing psychosocial hazards at work, evaluating the mental health and social support networks of construction workers, and investigating risk perceptions, behaviours, and compliance challenges related to respirable crystalline silica (RCS). My work aims to support safer, more responsive work environments.
