Yes. Many courses are available to start mid‑year at QUT. You’ll study the same course content and have access to the same support as Semester 1 starters. Use the course finder to find a course that's right for you.

Yes. Many QUT postgraduate courses, offer a Semester 2 start. Mid-year entry is a popular option if you’re looking to upskill, reskill or progress in your career without waiting until next year. You can explore available postgraduate courses using the course search filters above.

We have a range of online courses available—and don’t worry, they have the same course content as those we offer on campus so you won’t miss out.

Our online courses

You might be able to study part time or outside of work hours, take an online degree or move faster with summer semester units or intensive study.

Flexible study

You may be able to have your prior studies or work experience count as credit towards your course. We call this 'advanced standing'.

Claiming advanced standing

Financial support options vary depending on your course and level of study. These may include government loan schemes, scholarships and other support options available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Your fees depend on the number of units and area you study. For each course, you can find indicative costs per year in the course information.

Fees and scholarships

Mid-year application deadlines vary depending on the course and how you're applying. Some undergraduate offer rounds require applications and documents by late May, while postgraduate applications typically close in June.

As places are limited and some courses may close early, we recommend applying as soon as possible.
