Game on

Hosting the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Queensland to showcase its strengths to the world. The scope of our expertise and innovation, coupled with our prime locations, mean QUT is uniquely positioned to contribute to and benefit from the games.

The 2032 games will amplify, accelerate and transform the Oceania region’s future on a global scale.  We are positioned to play a central role in creating and seizing opportunities to deliver economic, social and environmental legacies that will endure long after the closing ceremonies. We are committed to moving beyond conventional thinking and applying our real world approach to tackle challenges and opportunities the games and its potential legacies present through our strengths in research, learning and teaching, infrastructure and technology.

We excel at developing and mobilising future-ready, multidisciplinary student workforces to support Queensland's strategic goals, offering comprehensive programs that foster skill development, internships, innovation, and credential and portfolio development to ensure future job readiness and industry relevance for our students.

Our leadership

The real deal

QUT delivers world-class research and innovation, and is strategically located alongside multiple Olympic and Paralympic venues. Combined with our strong sports offering and commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and Indigenous Australian perspectives, partnering with us just makes sense.

Infrastructure

We have welcomed the selection of Victoria Park as the site of the multi-billion dollar Olympic stadium and world-leading National Aquatic Centre, which neighbours our 27-hectare Kelvin Grove campus in Brisbane's inner north.

The Olympic and Paralympic sporting precinct will connect to the rapidly advancing Herston Health Precinct and together will cultivate an unparalleled knowledge corridor and global hub of biomedical, sport and health sciences research and innovation in the heart of Brisbane.

We have a range of inclusive sports facilities, including gyms and aquatic centres, an indoor sports court, two outdoor sports courts, FIFA accredited sports field with a running track, esports arena, and a virtual sport studio, plus a range of QUT health clinics including exercise physiology, podiatry, nutrition and dietetics, optometry, psychology and counselling clinics.
