What appealed to me about QUT were their various industry partners, strong networking opportunities and practical hands-on learning. Since one of my majors is Industrial Design, these factors really influenced my decision.

I transitioned to QUT from Taylor's University in Malaysia, and the credit I received made the move smooth with a real sense of continuity. The supportive learning environment and caring lecturers made settling in much easier.

What is studying Information Technology at QUT like? Vietnamese students Lincoln and Anh run us through their time studying IT at QUT. Lincoln studied postgraduate IT with an English language pathway and Anh is halfway through their bachelor degree.

I’m very glad I made the decision to come and study at QUT, it’s one of the best choices I’ve made. Living in Brisbane is more relaxed and easy-going atmosphere compared to my home country of Japan which is quite busy and competitive.

I love living in Brisbane. The weather is fantastic, and the people are so friendly. It’s a very welcoming city with great diversity of people from different cultures and backgrounds. When I first arrived I felt accepted and a part of the community.
