You must:

  • meet QUT’s academic and English language entry requirements found on the QUT - how to apply page, for the Doctor of Philosophy (IF49)
  • hold a bachelor degree with honours (H2A minimum) or a master degree (with a research component and appropriate GPA), in a discipline of relevance to the research topic

  • not have secured an internally funded scholarship (e.g. scholarship from supervisor, school, or faculty) unless it has been explicitly identified as a bridging scholarship.

How to apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you will need to submit an expression of interest (EOI) by 29 February 2024. Follow the instructions provided on QUT - How to apply.

When you submit your EOI, you must include a draft research proposal and evidence of support from your prospective supervisor. Indicate that you are applying for a Faculty of Science EAS Scholarship at question 2 in the financial details section of the application form.

What happens next?

Applicants invited to submit part 2 of the application process will be contacted directly to create an updated research proposal and submit this within the timeframe specified in the email. Failure to do so could deem you ineligible for a scholarship.

Conditions

The conditions for retaining the scholarship are set out in the rules of the QUT Postgraduate Research Award.

If a student receives a conditional offer (e.g. conditional on completion of a master degree or honours degree), conditions must be met by 31 July 2024.

About the scholarship
