Applying for admission to legal practice?

You may need an academic conduct report

If you are applying for admission to practice law in Australia or overseas, your admitting authority may require an academic conduct report from QUT.

How to request a report

Requests are managed by email. Contact buslaw.enquiries@qut.edu.au with the subject line: Academic conduct report request [your full name].

In your email include:

• which Admission Board/admitting authority the report is for (e.g. Queensland, New South Wales, another Australian jurisdiction, or an overseas authority)
• full name (as recorded at QUT)
• if your name has changed since leaving QUT, attach a certified copy of your marriage certificate or legal change of name certificate
• date of birth
• QUT Student ID number
• current email address.

Processing time

Allow at least three weeks for your request to be processed from the time all required details (and any supporting documents) are received.

Important notes

• Reports are issued for the purpose of admission to legal practice and will be sent in accordance with QUT processes (e.g. directly to the admitting authority where required).
• Incomplete requests may delay processing.

QUT will handle your information in accordance with the university's privacy obligations.
