Careers in Information Technology are evolving at record speed. Artificial intelligence is transforming how we work and create, cybersecurity specialists are in demand across every industry, and fields like cloud computing and quantum technology are opening doors to work that didn’t exist a few years ago.
Whether you're interested in cyber security, software development or artificial intelligence, the emerging intersections between tech and fields like health, energy, law, or the arts, the opportunities are broader and more impactful than ever.
And here’s the wild part: many of the jobs you’ll one day apply for haven’t even been invented yet.
That’s exactly why we created this webinar with Careers with STEM: to help high school students, teachers, and parents make sense of the fast-moving tech landscape, and to highlight the pathways that lead from curiosity to career.
Meet the panel
Professor Craig Costello, Quantum-cryptography expert
Craig Costello is a professor at QUT and a world leader in quantum-resistant cryptography; the technology that will safeguard our digital systems in a post-quantum world. After completing his PhD at QUT, he spent several years as a principal research scientist at Microsoft in the United States, driving breakthroughs in mathematics, security, and post-quantum cryptographic design. Craig’s work continues to shape global standards and strengthen the foundations of next-generation cybersecurity.
