Sport
Our sub-tropical climate in Brisbane promotes an outdoor lifestyle. Many people enjoy playing team sports, swimming and surfing. Brisbane has excellent sporting facilities, stadiums and other sporting grounds, including ANZ Stadium and Suncorp Stadium.
Brisbane also has hundreds of public parks, gardens, bikeways and walking paths for you to enjoy.
From the city, it's only a short trip to the beach or other waterways for fishing, sailing, surfing and other fun activities.
Culture and entertainment
Brisbane has a rich and diverse cultural life, hosting regular festivals, exhibitions and performances. Throughout the year you can see art, dance, theatre, and music at the Queensland Cultural Centre, Brisbane Powerhouse, and other cultural spaces.
Fortitude Valley is Queensland's first entertainment precinct and the centre of Brisbane's night life, with local and international bands playing frequent concerts.
