Step 3: Check you meet the entry requirements
You need to meet specific entry requirements to get into each of our degrees. Entry requirements are usually based on previous study or professional experience.

I completed my previous study overseas
We'll assess your qualifications when you submit your application.
You need to provide:
- a certified copy of your academic transcripts
- the grading scale of your university (this may be on the back page of your transcript).
If the documents are in a language other than English, you must also provide an official English translation.
I want to do a PhD, but I don't meet the entry requirements
If you meet the entry requirements for a masters by research degree, you may be able to start your masters degree and then upgrade to a PhD after 12 months through the confirmation process.
You can also discuss your qualifications with your potential supervisor. If you can demonstrate that your qualifications are equivalent to the requirements (for example by detailing your publication record or research experience), your faculty may allow you to enter directly into a PhD, as long as this is approved by the Research Degrees Committee.
