It will develop applied skills in investigation, analysis, synthesis and problem solving, written and visual literacy for communication and reporting. It stresses both independent and collaborative strategies for managing and completing tasks on time. It contextualises this civil engineering activity across social, economic, and environmental lenses, and emphasises application of standards and codes of practice in the civil engineering discipline. This is an advanced unit and therefore the prior knowledge on Traffic and Transport (EGB272) and on basic geotechnical engineering concepts (EGB373). Capstone projects (EGH400-1 and EGH400-2) in Transport/Pavement engineering require the knowledge of this unit.","title-full":"EGH472 Advanced Highway and Pavement Engineering","title-short":"Advanced Highway and Pavement Engineering","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=EGH472&year=2022","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=EGH472","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=EGH472"},"year":2022,"years":[2022]}
