This unit will explore the effects of the underlying principles of thermodynamics and kinetics to chemical and physical processes which commonly occur around us. The principles that govern the macroscopic behavior of solids, liquids and gases, the fundamental physical properties which determine the extent of reaction and the speed with which it occurs will be explained. These thermodynamic principles are extended to mixtures, the properties of solutions, polymeric systems and electrochemistry which all play a very important role in the world around us.","title-full":"CVB302 Applied Physical Chemistry","title-short":"Applied Physical Chemistry","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=CVB302&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=CVB302","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=CVB302"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
