What you'll receive
You’ll receive a scholarship valued at $15,000.
The scholarship will be paid as a stipend in two instalments of $7,500 per semester for up to one year, following confirmation of your enrolment after the census date of each semester, commencing Semester 1, 2026.
You'll also be allocated a Boeing mentor who will support and assist you in your academic and professional career success.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Boeing Australia Indigenous Engineering Scholarship, you must
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- be enrolled as a full-time student at QUT (36 credit points or more per semester)
- have a grade point average (GPA) 5.0-7.0.
You must be entering your second, third, or final year of studies, having completed 96, 192, or 288 credit points (these milestones will define your year level), in one of the following eligible courses:
- EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Aerospace)
- EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer and Software Systems)
- EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronics)
- EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical)
- EV02 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronics)/Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
- EV02 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Aerospace)/Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
- EV02 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer and Software Systems)/Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
- EV04 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer and Software Systems)/Master of Advanced Manufacturing
- EV04 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Aerospace)/Master of Advanced Manufacturing
- EV04 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronics)/Master of Advanced Manufacturing.
Double degree
Students enrolled in one of the following double degrees in Semester 1, 2026 will also be eligible for this scholarship:
- IX59 Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- SE40 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mathematics
- SE60 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Information Technology
- SE80 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Science.
You will need to be entering the equivalent of your final year of an engineering course in Semester 1, 2026, majoring in either:
- computer and software systems engineering
- electrical and aerospace engineering
- mechatronics engineering
- mechanical engineering.
In addition, consideration may be given to financial or social disadvantages facing an applicant.

What happens next?
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend an interview with Boeing Australia.
If your application is successful, we will notify you via email.

As a recipient of the Boeing Australia Indigenous Engineering Scholarship, we offer you an accelerated pathway to internship recruitment.
Our internship program runs from November and February each year and offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of aerospace, gain hands-on experience and build your professional network.

Note that employment at Boeing is conditional on pre‑employment checks, including but not limited to a police/background check and a conflicts‑of‑interest check.
