What you'll receive
You'll receive:
- a scholarship valued at $15,000 paid over three years for a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in the Faculty of Science
- a scholarship valued at $20,000 paid over four years for a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) degree or eligible mathematics double degree in the Faculty of Science
- automatic membership into QUT's College of Excellence.
Eligibility
You must:
- identify as female
- be graduating Year 12 in 2025, or have graduated Year 12 in 2024
- be starting university for the first time in 2026
- have not undertaken/commenced any tertiary study, other than studies in special university programs designed for secondary school students (e.g. START QUT)
- have applied for a tertiary place through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) and received a QUT offer in your first preference
- have achieved a minimum unadjusted Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 90.00 or a minimum unadjusted selection rank of 90.00 for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma to be considered.
- have placed one of the eligible courses as your first preference on your QTAC application at the time of the main December and main January admissions offer rounds:
You must also be one of the following:
- an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder
- an Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand citizen.
How to apply
You do not need to complete a scholarship application for the Adeline Arts & Science Scholarship for Women in Mathematics. All eligible students who complete a QTAC application in line with QTAC key dates will be considered based on academic performance and gender.
What happens next?
Scholarships are closed. The next offer round will be January 2026.
Due to the large number of eligible commencing students, we'll only notify the students who are successful in being offered a scholarship.
Conditions
You must:
- be enrolled in an eligible course for the duration of your studies
- achieve a minimum course grade point average (GPA) of 5 each semester.
You can't:
- defer your scholarship offer

About the scholarship
The Adeline Arts and Science Scholarship for Women in Mathematics aims to encourage more women to enrol in the Bachelor of Mathematics, and dual degrees involving both a Bachelor of Mathematics and a second degree that is also administered by the Faculty of Science at QUT.
