In this half-day workshop, students participate in a simulated moot court based on the Home Alone movie scenario.
Taking on the roles of legal professionals, teams will analyse the fictional case, examining key issues such as the burden and standard of proof in criminal cases, and the elements of particular offences in the Queensland Criminal Code (such as burglary).
This hands-on workshop offers an immersive experience in the criminal justice system, fostering skills in legal reasoning, public speaking, and critical legal thinking.
Through interactive debates and case analysis, participants will sharpen their advocacy skills while exploring real-world legal principles in a fun and engaging environment.
