Overview

How do robots understand the world when conditions keep changing? Like humans, they use multiple sources of information captured from different sensors to build a more complete and reliable understandng of their surroundings.
In this project, you will build AI models that combine camera images and LiDAR data to understand 3D environments. You will investigate how to fuse these data sources and develop methods that remain reliable when environments change.

Research skills

  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning
  • Experience with  deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
  • Basic understanding of computer vision
