Overview

Understanding small mammal communities is important for conservation. Camera traps have provided a cost effective and remote sampling technique. This project aims to assess images of small vertebrates under vertically mounted camera traps deployed at various locations within south-east Qld.

Research engagement

Small vertebrate identification; camera trap image identification; potential for field work. Statistical analysis. This project formas a compentn of a broader project assessing distributions of various antechinus species.

Skills and experience

Interest in small mammal ecology. Have completed bvb214 at a high level (preferable), or equivalent experience.
