Overview

Language is essential for human communication.  However, there is still a lack of clarity about how the brain attains language. This knowledge is critical for understanding both healthy and disordered language production and comprehension (aphasia). Hence, there is a need for further exploration using psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic (neuroimaging, electrophysiology and brain stimulation) techniques.

Research activities

  • Join a team of dedicated researchers.
  • Learn how to design, execute, analyse, and communicate cutting edge research.
  • Develop skills in psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic research.

Outcomes

The research will primarily enhance our understanding of how language is represented and processed in healthy participants and neurological disorders.

Skills and experience

Desirable prerequisites are:

  • undergraduate and/or master degrees in:
    • psychology
    • cognitive science/neuroscience
    • linguistics
  • basic understanding of quantitative methods.

Scholarships

You may be eligible to apply for a research scholarship.
