What is the purpose of this research?
The purpose of this research project is to examine the relationship between driving anxiety and driving avoidance across a range of driving situations, to better understand how anxiety influences driving avoidance behaviours and their potential implications for driver’s skills and road safety.
Are you looking for people like me?
You are invited to participate in this research project if you are aged 18 or older, currently living in Australia and hold a valid Australian driving licence (open or provisional) or international equivalent.
What will you ask me to do?
Participation will involve completing an online questionnaire that will take approximately 20 minutes of your time.
Are there any risks for me in taking part?
There are minimal risks associated with your participation in this research project. These may include mild discomfort when responding to questions about general anxiety, anxiety while driving and driving avoidance.
Are there any benefits for me in taking part?
It is expected that this research project will not directly benefit you. The outcomes of the research, however, may benefit the community by improving the understanding of driving anxiety and its behavioural consequences, particularly driving avoidance.
Will I be compensated for my time?
