Biography
Gordon is an educator, researcher and clinical radiographer with more than 20 years' experience in medical imaging, specialising in computed tomography (CT) across metropolitan and regional settings in both public and private healthcare environments.He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Technology) from Queensland University of Technology, a Master of Health Science (CT) from University of Sydney and a Master of Clinical Science (Research) from the University of Adelaide.
Gordon's work focusses on professional practice, education, and workforce capability in medical imaging and related health professions. He completed a Healthcare Improvement Fellowship through Clinical Excellence Queensland (Queensland Health) in 2022, enhancing his expertise in health service improvement and evidence-informed practice change.
He is currently a PhD candidate with research focussed on radiographers', sonographers' and imaging technologists’ involvement in the use of medicines in contemporary practice. His doctoral work seeks to identify barriers and enablers to expanded scope of practice, with the goal of supporting safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
Gordon currently co-facilitates several undergraduate units within the Medical Imaging program.
