The School of Mathematical Sciences is a leading provider of applied mathematics and statistics higher education and excels in research in applied and computational mathematics, statistics, and operations research.
The school is closely associated with the QUT Centre for Data Science and is Queensland's only node of an Australian Centre of Excellence in Mathematics (Mathematical Analysis of Cellular Systems).

Summer School for High School Students
The QUT Mathematics Summer School is not just an educational experience; it’s an opportunity for motivated high-school students to network and connect with like-minded individuals who are as passionate about mathematics as they are.
Through interactive lectures, real-life applications, and computer workshops, participants will better understand how mathematics shapes our world.
Who can attend the summer school?
Mathematics students in Year 11 studying Specialist Mathematics (or mathematics at an equivalent level) can attend this summer school at QUT Gardens Point during the summer holidays.
