Australia Awards Scholarship

'I have had the pleasure of working with the Australia Awards recipients for over five years now. I'm given the ability to see the awardees through the beginning all the way to the end of the process of graduating at QUT.

Being able to provide support and service to them is a fulfilling journey. I have gained a lot of experience from the diversity, life and personality they bring into the rich mix of cultures of our community.'

'Being an Australia Awards scholar recipient has enabled me to reshape my life and build on my work and life experiences. It has provided me with a platform to pursue my academic interests and make me more competitive in my field.

When I finish my Bachelor of Justice course, I would like to contribute to modernising the operation procedures, training methods and work standards within the policing and justice sector in the Solomon Islands.'

I’m studying a Bachelor of Human Service. When I finish my degree, I plan to influence and change local and international non-government policies and programs to be more accessible and inclusive of people with disability.
